"Everyone at Texas Culinary Academy is determined to help you succeed. The chef instructors tell you stories of their experiences, give helpful advice, and are willing to work overtime to ensure that you learn all the required skills. The career services department will help you construct a perfect resume, send you emails of job opportunities, and even set up interviews for you at the career fair. Even though you don't get the opportunity to have every chef instructor as a teacher, there is still the opportunity to work with different chefs during TCA's monthly special events."
- Mary Amman, Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts student.

Texas Culinary Academy boasts two on-campus, student-run restaurants designed to give students real-world experience in the food service industry.
A full-service, fine-dining establishment, Ventana serves classical French cuisine at an incredible value; The Austin American-Statesman* newspaper recently called it "an appealing destination for elegant fare. It is proof that wonderful things happen in the classroom." It features an à la carte menu, and specials are offered nightly. (Reservations are requested; please call 512-339-3850.)

The Bleu River Grille is our quick-service, bistro style restaurant that features daily changing specials.
As part of the Restaurant Practical, students put their newly acquired culinary skills training to the test and have an opportunity to gain real restaurant experience, working both the front and the back of the house, and spending time at each of the various kitchen stations: hot, cold, pastry, prep, etc. They also serve as the dining room supervisor and the beverage steward and learn the finer points of restaurant marketing and management.
